冬虫夏草,来自东方的神秘物种。在科学元素普及的当下,物种的转化成功后依旧被寄予了许多神秘色彩。
我们将冬虫夏草的“生存”、“感染”、“伴生”、“转化”的四个步骤正好对应了所有生物链的进化历程。从而也引发了我们对当下生活对自身认知观念改变的思考。
本次展览分别由四个观念独立的艺术家共同协助而成。四位艺术家分别在油画、装置、雕塑等领域各有造诣,更有首次以新媒体的媒介尝试阐艺术世界的世界观。
AWETOisa mysterious species from the East. At the moment when the scientific element is popularized,species is still entrusted with many mysteries evenafterthe successful transformation.
We correspondthe four steps of “survival”, “infection”, “association” and “transformation” to the evolutionary process of all biological chains. Thusitleadustothink about the changes in our own cognition and conception in our current life.
This exhibition is jointly assisted by four artists with independent concepts. The four artists have their own accomplishments in oil painting, installation, sculpture, etc. And furthermore it is the first time to explain the world view of the art world through new media.

毕业于意大利米兰新美院绘画与视觉艺术专业,独立策展人。
多媒介艺术家黄晓琼创作中,通过不断对自我的审思及对外部世界发出思考与探索,创作题材从以自身经历的叙事内容逐步转向对都市社会现象及都市人心理的探讨和剖析。
基于对日常生活的观察与思考,作品常有人类为培育观赏性动物为元素出现,接由人格化表达每个人的世界观都具有多面性的认知。
同时希望从不同角度,将艺术理念揉杂于生活的各方面。作品蕴含着一些在地文化的调侃,也诙谐地映射出当代青年对生活的态度。

Independent curator.
In the creation of multi-media artist Huang Xiaoqiong, through constant self-examination and thinking and exploration of the external world, her topics of creation gradually shifts from the narrative content of personal experience to the discussion and analysis of urban social phenomena and urban people’s psychology.
Based on the observation and thinking of daily life, the elements of works often have human beings as cultivate ornamental animals, and express the cognition that everyone’s worldview is multi-faceted withanthropomorphization.
She hopes to mix artistic concepts into all aspects of life from different angles. The works contain some ridicule of local culture, and also humorously reflect the attitude of contemporary youth towards life.

Viola保持着对“锦鲤”这一意象的创作,同时在其社会角色变更后有了更多的思考。我为何是我?身为锦鲤,是否已经注定生来就是“观赏型动物”,无法返归大自然中?锦鲤在古时候就是一个被象征着瑞祥之兆的符号,人们会因为获得“祥瑞”而高兴欢呼,而作为祥瑞象征的锦鲤在想什么?
城市在日益拓张,原始传统的技能与文化在逐渐消失。因此她以传统锦鲤的绘画方式结合被强饱和度打破认知的影像进行跨时空跨媒介的创作,思考城市人与自然、本性与后天性、革新与传统之间的关系。
I thought more after my long lasting creation of KOI fish, and the change of social roles at the same time. Why am I me?As a KOI fish, is it destined to be an “ornamental animal” and cannot be returned to nature? In ancient times, KOI fish was a symbol of auspicious omens. People would cheer for auspiciousness. But what was KOI fish thinking as auspicious itself?
Cities are expanding, and the skills and culture of primitive traditions are disappearing gradually. Therefore, Icombinedthe traditional KOIpainting method with images whose perception is broken by strong saturation, consideringthe relationship between urban people and nature, innovation and tradition.

孔凡帆喜爱中央之国的意境,想在不使用文化元素与符号的前提下,仍然可以通过边缘化的具象传递信息,用一种柔和的方式去传递雾一样朦胧的气场,把“气”蕴含到作品的表皮和深处,有不枯不荣,不生不灭的进退尺度,空气在画面里可以自由流动,光线是通透的,整体的状态很轻盈,像水似的流淌,
并且克制地使用色彩,虽然朴素的视觉样式与当下时代的绚丽有些格格不入,但简单的朴素却充满了力量,它是如此得坚固,好像宇宙的秩序,在克制的氛围内去制作和感受它。
“气”并非是某种答案,而是追问,不断的对艺术本质的追问,从有用转向无用,在无用中寻找意义,这是孔凡帆会一直持续的创作信念。
Kong loves the artistic conception of the country in the middle, and wants to convey information through marginalized representations without using cultural elements and symbols,conveying the fog-like aura in a soft way, and merge the meaning of “Qi” to the surface and depth of the work.With a scale that is neither withering nor prosperous, neither birth nor death, the air can flow freely in the picture, the light is transparent, and the overall state is very light, flowing like water.
And the use of color is restrained. Although the simple visual style is somewhat out of tune with the splendor of the current era, the simple simplicity is full of power. It is so solid, like the order of the universe, to make and feel it in a restrained atmosphere.
“Qi” is not an answer, but a question, a constant question about the essence of art, from usefulness to uselessness, and finding meaning from the useless. This is the persistent creationfaithof Kong.

新媒体艺术家,毕业于广州美术学院雕塑系。创作载体主要涉及影像、游戏、机械装置及新媒体视觉形式,擅长电子科技结合的观念艺术。
他的作品借由时间这个维度构建出一种观察世界的新思维,以此来探讨个体与个体、个体与自然和个体与城市之间的关系。
同时,作为一名中国艺术家,许锦龙崇尚中国儒家“心外无物 心即理”的哲学思想,并将这种东方哲理结合西方艺术的立体主义和超现实主义,进行作品创作和展现。
New media artist, graduated from the Sculpture Department of theGuangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Hiscreationcarrier mainly involves images, installations and new media visual forms, and is good at conceptual art combining electronic technology.
His works construct a new way of observing the world withthe dimension of time, in order to explore the relationship between individuals and individuals, individuals and nature, and individuals and cities.

广州美院外聘教师齐飞同时也是一位热爱收藏的艺术家,常以特殊视角下的生活场景作为主题,天马行空的幻想与真实的场景组成了错位的景观。
他的创作有一种天真的浪漫主义情怀,在粗砺的质感与混沌灰暗的背景中,总是会有一两处亮色,给人以视觉上的不协调性和故事的冲突感,以凸显画面本身的情绪张力。他用涂鸦式的笔触勾勒图像,强调画面的虚幻和错位,从而暗示内心的震荡。
Qi Fei, an external teacher of theGuangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, is also anartistwho loves collecting. He often take life scenes from a special perspective as the topic, and form dislocated landscapes with imaginary fantasy and real scenes .
His works have a naive romanticism. In the rough texture and chaotic dark background, there is always one or two bright colors, giving people a sense of visual incongruity and a sense of conflict in the story, so as to highlight the emotional tension of the picture itself. He outlines the image with graffiti-like brushstrokes, emphasizing the illusoryness and dislocation of the picture, thereby implying inner shock.
